A Simple Request
She didn’t want much –
a touch from a moonbeam
or some such response to
her nighttime entreaty
to the moon that shone down
with benevolent light.
Something she could clutch,
like a sprinkle of stardust
to serve as a nightlight when
nightmares appeared.
Awww…. I love how beautifully you’ve captured the simplicity and longing for comfort in the night’s embrace, Candy…

I could do with a touch from a moonbeam right now, Candy, or a a sprinkle of stardust’. A delightful quadrille.

Consider your nightlight switched to ON. I thoroughly enjoyed this quadrille.

Love the rhyme/rhythm of much/touch/clutch here. And I would LOVE to be able to touch the moon.
