In Celebration of Green Beans
We planted rows of beans.
Surrounded them with fencing – the kind
to keep rabbits from nibbling on the tender
shoots. We watered, weeded, cheered
when their white flowers were pollinated by bees.
Now we are holding a celebration in honor of
fresh green beans.
Seeing any plants come up from seeds you planted and tended is always something to celebrate. Even better when it’s something you can eat!

I love this as I also did my own summer garden of planting and caring for the vegetables.. Enjoy your fresh green beans!

Oh, so true! We too are celebrating green beans from my garden. Each new meal is now a celebration! Sooo good!

There is something so satisfying about growing one’s own food. The eating of it is the completion of the cycle. Congratulations on eating home-grown green beans!
