take me back to the earth
to the sun and the rain
let me feel with my feet
the wet grass, the soft mud
where my soul can take root
become nourished again
buds of peace start to bloom

The repetition of ‘take me back to the earth’ is effective in that it reminds us that we belong to nature. I love the idea of feeling with my feet wet grass and soft mud ‘where my soul can take root’ and oh, those ‘buds of peace’, how welcome they are!
