d’Verse Poets Pub – Quadrille # 137: Throwing Poem Stones
Duck! De Jackson has us throwing stones at each other.
I rescued a katydid from the pool this morning,
laying it gently on the deck, hoping it will dry
out, crawl away. Rain is in the forecast,
so I move it to a stone under a broad leaf.
I hope it’s a lucky stone.

This is such a wonderful rescue.
🤞 all was well 💜
Gentle is the soul that rescues a katydid!
Awww, I hope so, too. I cherish all those tiny lives, also. This is a beautiful slice of kindness.
Well done with the rescue!
The healing stone is what we all need these days! A great poem!
The kind of rescue that rarely makes headlines but that is so precious. I’ve gone out to rescue worms in the heavy rain, carrying them to higher ground, a time or two.
I hope so too! A small act of kindness can be the most touching.
