d’Verse Poets Pub -Poetics – Stoddard, Longfellow and Bryant say hello! (What does November mean to you?)
–
Poor November
Oh, poor November, ugly duckling
of the Autumn season.
Trees stripped bare of vibrant
orange and yellow by a cold, cruel wind.
Left to idly sit, waiting, between celebrations,
with nothing to do but ponder
the condition of the human race.
I don’t feel sorry for the bad bad dude of November… he should be a little brighter and would tolerate him.

I love this. Isn’t November just a dark month in general? It is the ugly duckling, indeed.

Love this! November certainly does seem to be a witness in everything that transpires. 💝

Once November hits, there is a lot more time for thinking, you’re right.

Waiting is the mood for November. But wait until the end, there might be a surprise.

I love that, November as the ugly duckling of autumn!

Oh my! I had to giggle at the ugly duckling descriptor … tis true I guess. Where I live I make a conscious effort to embrace winter, it works sometimes, not others. Cheers.
