d’Verse Poets Pub – Happy 6th Anniversary & Quadrille #36
Something is ‘flickering’ in the pub today
–
My Albatross
I cook – you eat
I clean – you golf
I shop – you nap
You take no part
In this partnership
‘Cupple’ means morning coffee
ready when you wake
but when I see that
flicker of a smile
You are my beautiful albatross
I liked all the complaining leading up to the last line.

Equal parts infuriating and adorable!

Oh, Candy–anyone (male or female) can sing such a lament, I suppose. My hubby golfs and naps BUT also cooks and shops. I clean and pick up and more then wait eagerly for the best hugs ever (and get/give plenty of them.) Fun and honest list poem.

this was based on a conversation I overheard – my husband cooks and shops and does his own laundry. No complaints here.

I’d be cutting that one free. Nice penning.
