Lady October

Over in the Garden we’re writing about October
~
Lady October

She’s wrinkled and worn
Her beauty fading fast
She limps through the days
Energy waning
Sleeping
longer each night
Dreaming
of lost youth
Shivering
under a hoarfrost blanket
Cold hands hiding her
warm heart

  1. She does have a chill now and then, especially farther north. Fortunately we are keeping her warm down here in Texas, we are still running in the 90F’s. Towards her end I help her by celebrating my BDay, just before her famous Halloween gala.
