Over in the Garden we’re writing about October
~
Lady October
She’s wrinkled and worn
Her beauty fading fast
She limps through the days
Energy waning
Sleeping
longer each night
Dreaming
of lost youth
Shivering
under a hoarfrost blanket
Cold hands hiding her
warm heart

Great description of autumn heading into winter 🙂

The last line makes it all well again! I hope she can warm herself from within… ♥

Yes – that warm heart makes it all perfect.

She does have a chill now and then, especially farther north. Fortunately we are keeping her warm down here in Texas, we are still running in the 90F’s. Towards her end I help her by celebrating my BDay, just before her famous Halloween gala.

Sleeping longer each night…. yes, that is one of the things I dislike about her…. long dark days

Such a fun personification…as our weather as changed dramatically in the last week, I’m shivering with her inside my supposedly warm home!

October is still wearing a sundress here. Love your description of her.

She’s been wearing her flip flops the past few days here. Sadly that is about to change

What a great personification of fall, Candy, poor worn out girl, but love that she has a warm heart.
