Fireblossom Friday – “Perchance to Dream”
it’s all about those night time dreams in the Garden
Web of Dreams
held to this earthly life
by filaments of spidered
dreams I spin through
layers of night each
a web of its own
chasing lions through burning buildings
trying to find a lost locker combination
wearing only my slip –
until the rising
sun breaks the spell
that kept me captive to the dark
Carpe Diem #1028 “sadness”
what a great quote as our inspiration –
[…] “Sadness is but a wall between two gardens.” […] Khalil Gibran
—
on the other side
flowers bloom with abandon
my garden weeps
At d’Verse Poets
Meeting the Bar – Form: Tanka
two ruby red lips
parted in a flirty smile
tease the tired farmer
shapely form comes after dark
courtesan of midnight dreams
Carpe Diem # 1027 “movement”
our inspirational quote for today:
[…] “Haiku is the poetry of nature and nature is always in motion. Seasons come and go, the moon changes every 28 days and so on, the only thing which is steady and without clear motion is our sun, that big star of our Milky Way around which the planets are rotating.” […] Chèvrefeuille, your host
~
shadows crawl
across the mountain peaks
following the sun
Carpe Diem # 1026 “smile”
the inspiration for our Haiku today:
[…] “Let us always meet each other with smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.” […] Mother Teresa
~
the sky brightens
even on cloudy days
when children smile
Tuesday Poetics at d’Verse Poets – the sound of love
Well Aged Love
creaking bones
and after dinner burps
soft snuffling beside
me in bed
and even some
midnight flatulence
moans and groans
when getting up
in the morning
whistling (off key)
in the shower
grunting anytime
bending is required
sounds of well
aged love
We’re writing a Quadrille at d’Verse Poets where Bjorn is tending bar.
44 words using the word ‘Jar’
~
if I could, I would
capture your
smile in a jar
to comfort me
on cloudy days
or stormy nights
and when I’m cold or
feeling scared I
would open the lid
ever so slightly
to hear your laugh
and I’d be brave again

Carpe Diem # 1025 “beauty”
The inspiration for this episode comes from this quote by Rumi
[…] “Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.” […] Rumi

I’ve been busy with family and traveling for the past few weeks.
Time to get back to Haiku.
