it covers the best and
worst of me – holds
emotions I share and
those I keep secret
This boney vessel
keeps every moment
I’ve ever experienced
It sends messages to
the rest of me
messages I never hear
And some where
hidden safely inside
this rounded bit of
skeleton I find my muse
