How to Set a Table

how to set a table ……

a plate to hold what nourishes me
a napkin to catch my mistakes
knife, fork, spoon, because I am grown up
a cup, a glass to fill to the brim
a chair beside mine – for you

~

Over at B&P Shadorma and Beyond, Bastet has us poeming “how to….”
while thinking about the rules of etiquette. MLMM

  1. Two sides of the family had different takes on this table setting – food and family always forefront.
But to one everything had to be perfect, the other paper plates and boarding house reach was in order.
