You patiently wait just
Hanging about behind
The back door, under a
Car seat, often in the trunk
No fair weather friend, you
Brolly, bumbershoot, umbrella
Red awning with happy white dasies
Often lost, but not forgotten
On call at a moments notice
You open your arms to
Shelter me from disturbances,
cloudbursts, downpours
Parasol, gamp, canopy
Welcome companion in all seasons
Sometimes forgotten, but not lost
I LOVE this! You have a really distinctive style.

C.C. said it all. Had fun reading this without putting too much in it… although one could 🙂

Certain inanimate objects are somehow very dutiful. You have definitely caught that here in a very charming say. Thanks. K.

Wow 😀 What a different poem. Always there, sometimes forgotten, but never lost… a wonderful way to describe an umbrella 🙂
