Skipping Pebble
If I could be a pebble
I would skip myself across a
glassy lake – creating ripples
that grow larger, spread
farther until
they wash my love onto
the shore of your heart

Skipping Pebble
If I could be a pebble
I would skip myself across a
glassy lake – creating ripples
that grow larger, spread
farther until
they wash my love onto
the shore of your heart
frozen water on
the pond children skate around
in circles, cold hands
warmed by a glowing bonfire
wind and earth rejoice
——-
Over in the imaginary gaden they’re talking about the classic elements
water sustains life
and just as quickly takes it
a fickle mistress
