A Silent Friend
the fog knows
small secrets we keep
what we hide
from the light
like a good friend who won’t tell
what has been whispered

Early Morning Snapshot
There was just a slight film
Of ice on the birdbath
Evidence of exposure to
A cold snap overnight
From the fog covered window
of my dark room I wipe a
small aperture from which
to view the depth of the field
beyond the fence
as I watch a cardinal bursts from
the bare branches of an
old oak tree in a flash of red

Still Here
i am stardust and
moonbeams
skimming through
your atmosphere
i am the whispered
breeze
blowing through
your hair
i am the fog
that hides the
sun from
your face
i am the rain
falling
from the sky like
your tears
i am not gone

Here we are in our tenth week of “Collaboration for Peace”!
Be sure to check out Mish’s blog at mishunderstood
We hope you have enjoyed a peaceful Sunday.
Adrift
We cannot see further
Than each step that we take
Hearts are obscured
By the choices we make
We muddle our minds
With things that don’t matter
Set adrift in the storm
Broken and battered
Searching for peace
In faraway lands
When peace is a power
That rests in our hands
Mish and I are happy to bring you another collaboration

Universal
We may not see
Scars and bruises
Heartaches hidden deep
Or know the twisted roots
Of troubled minds
Understanding takes time
But we can feel the rain
Of a thousand fears
Streaming down faces
In faraway places
We have never been
We can start here because
Tears are universal
