sudden thunderstorm
rain splashing closed windows
garden puddles
Summer Retreat Five
bright rising moon
shines on farmer’s garden
rabbit eating peas
Summer Journeys
It didn’t matter where
we were going
It was the ride
that created our memories
singing in the back seat
– the songs our
mother taught us –
“Hey, Hey Good Lookin”
and “I See The Moon”
it was the journey we
always remembered
—
The Pub is open again at d’Verse and were writing Quadrilles about a journey.
Summer Retreat Four
nibbled holes in leaves
butterflies sipping nectar
smooth shiny beetles
Colaboration for Peace – 29

Knock, Knock….Peace, are you there?
~
We create our own castles
Brick by brick
We build walls
High enough to obscure faces
And far away places
Pain and anguish muffled
By our own missions
~
We wonder but don’t worry
Slow down from our hurry
Only to throw a few pennies
Or thoughts without physically
Touching a soul
~
We wait for peace like we’re
Waiting for the sun to
Burn holes through mortar
Did we forget how to open a door?

Summer Retreat Three
mother’s memories
lined up on a white table
weekend yard sale
As Daylight Fades
summer sun
skips across blue skies
bright yellow
clear blue
until the light begins to
fade and change to night
Today it’s all about “change” over at B&P Shadorma and Beyond
Summer Retreat Two
morning reverie
peaceful quiet disturbed
crowing rooster
Oddball Challenge
garden
pink cosmos blossoms
waving in the summer breeze
wait for buzzing bees
