Heartsong

B&Ps Shadorma and Beyond – Nov 12, 016
Leonard Cohen is our inspiration for this week – especially his song Hallelujah

And over in the Imaginary Garden With Real Toads we are writing about those Still Points in our lives.

Heartsong

They stole my
words And spun them round
they didn’t
sound The same
Or even tell the story
That I meant to tell

They set them
To a melody
that Charmed the crowds And
fooled some fools
Until I
Wrenched them back again and sang
The song of my heart

This is the shrine of Saint Walburga built in 1974. The walls are 12 stained glass windows that were originally designed for the Saint Walburga church in Pittsburgh, PA, which no longer exists. The windows depict the life of St Walburga, a Benedictine nun, and were crafted in Germany.

I Struggle

B&P Shadorma  for Nov 5, 2016

Today’s poem is “Traveling Through the Dark” by William E. Stafford:

Here is my Shadorma inspired by this poem

~

right or wrong
is not always clear
I struggle
heart and head
do battle in the darkness
while my soul seeks peace

Doldrums and Dragonflies

Even in flight

I am not alone

Cradled

By the zephyrs

Warm embrace

This too is my calm

My inner field of felicity

Double-winged, I will sing

To the flutter of my heart

In shades of iridescence

~

Mish has amazed me once again with this poem inspired by my dragonfly photo.

A Wire Poem

Love Note
Send me a wire
A tweet
A message

Write it on paper
Or in the sand

Put it in a bottle
For me to find along the shore
Write it in the clouds
Trail it behind a plane

Pound it out on a
Hollow log
Call me

Come knock on my door
Look in my eyes
Tell me you love me
