There are many churches in my hometown. This is Zion’s Lutheran, the first in what, hopefully, will be a series.







Toured a house in Scottdale, PA that is on the National Register of Historic Places. It was built in 1913 by Rev Dr Lawrence Keister. These shots show the back porch, two of the many stained glass windows, and an example of the glass doorknobs found throughout the house.



“Hanna’s Town, founded in 1773 and named for its founder Robert Hanna, acted as the first Seat of Westmoreland County and hosted the first English courts west of the Allegheny Mountains. The town was an oasis for travelers, settlers, and those seeking justice and order in the often chaotic environment of the western Pennsylvania colonial frontier. ”

A litle folk art to brighten some old doors.
Doors of an abandoned house I passed when I was walking this morning.




This door survived the devastation of World War l battles in Ypres, Belgium. It is installed in the Flanders Field Museum there.
