A place for poems and pics
We recently visited the Millbrook Marsh in State College, PA. A great place for fishing, bird watching, and plant and insect identification.
This is the main education building
I really liked this small building with ivy growing over the door and painted walls
This painted bench was in one of the fields
What a great gate leading to the pollinator garden
This Fire Museum in Greensburg, PA, was founded in 1969 by members of the local volunteer fire departments. It is open by appointment only but those garage doors are worth stopping for a look.
Stock car hanging from the ceiling in a restaurant at the Charlotte, NC airport
Upside down doors! There were several others but I didn’t have time to snap them.
I thought I wouldn’t have a picture this week but last night I was at a Master Gardener’s meeting near this building and noticed how striking it looked at night.
You can see my reflection in one of the door pictures. I guess maybe I took a “doorfie” 🙂
The County Conservation offices are located in an 1880s era barn that was dismantled and reconstructed at its current location.
Cee’s Black and White Challenge for this week is E or F
Someone gave this plain old steel door a touch of pizzazz! I saw it while driving in downtown Greensburg this morning and just had to park my car and snap a picture.

I found this carving on a tree when Iwas walking last week.
This door is on a renovated Victorian house. I wish I’d taken photos of the whole house too.
