Carpe Diem #1034 “let the rain kiss you”
[…] “Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby.” […] Langston Hughes
~
inside my small tent
ancient melodies recalled
rain taps a sweet song
Carpe Diem #1031 “live in the present”
[…] “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.” […] Buddha
~
wild gray wolf
lives only in the moment
howling at the moon
Carpe Diem #1030 “path”
inspiration for today is from a very talented haiku poet
[…] “Ah…and then there’s the path, always the path, there, to concentrate on.. ” […] Hamish Managua Gunn
~
abandoned temple
crumbled stones along the path
only weeds remain
Carpe Diem #1029 – “felt with the heart”
this is the quote for inspiration in this episode of Carpe Diem:
[…] “The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.” […] Hellen Keller
~
only her heart knows
the love he leaves behind –
noble warrior

I thought I saw you smiling
at me across the table
candles flickering between
us so I smiled back

Fireblossom Friday – “Perchance to Dream”
it’s all about those night time dreams in the Garden
Web of Dreams
held to this earthly life
by filaments of spidered
dreams I spin through
layers of night each
a web of its own
chasing lions through burning buildings
trying to find a lost locker combination
wearing only my slip –
until the rising
sun breaks the spell
that kept me captive to the dark
Carpe Diem #1028 “sadness”
what a great quote as our inspiration –
[…] “Sadness is but a wall between two gardens.” […] Khalil Gibran
—
on the other side
flowers bloom with abandon
my garden weeps
