Sunday Mini Challenge in the Garden – Shallows, Deeply
~
The robins still nest under my neighbor’s deck
and Zinnias are blooming in my garden
beckoning to the Monarch butterflies
I see squirrels and chipmunks scurrying through the yard
stocking up on birdseed that has
fallen from the feeders like
manna from heaven
in this crazy world where chaos seems the norm,
nature carries on
Exactly. Clearly, we’re not quite as important as we think we are.

Yes, absolutely and that’s what brings me grounding. Thank you, for this reminder, Candy for this interconnectedness…so special.

I like this, Candy. Before I reached your last line I had my comment ready, “Life goes on.”

like mana from heaven. And to them, it is! Loved this poem that packs a punch.

Yes, and that’s some comfort.

Actually nature is so much stronger than humanity… so yes we can rely on it for comfort in a sagging world

How very true, and nature itself has a kind of chaos it has made peace with, thus harmony is achieved.

It absolutely does. When the mind grows overfed and shrill, there’s nothing like the stillness of the real world to reel it back in.

Yes… mostly oblivious to the foibles and ridiculousness of humans.

In a world that seems to be spinning out of control, it’s good to see that the animals are still sane.

Nature does–wonderfully–and so sad that there are too few really naturalistic places in some cities and suburbs–even some countrysides! Thanks, Candy. k.
