the cat sits
with eyes half open
watching as
humans do
tricks just for her amusement
then bored, falls asleep

Day 6 of Poetic Asides PAD has us writing about being watched
A place for poems and pics
feeling jam(b)- led
in my jam –
mies waiting for
the sun to rise
& shine on (harvest
moon)
hum(ming) tunies in
my bed(head) till the tick-
tock sings a-
long song and my toot-
toot, tootsies hit the floor
——
ok, for some reason I felt compelled to try another enjambment
dew drops sparkle
on silken spider webs

Whew! De Jackson challenged us to try emjam(b)min’ with her over at the Pub. I was de-termined to give it a try
sassy yellow leaves
dance at the edge of a branch
autumn festival
fluffy dust motes floating by
i closed my eyes to wonder why
i do not see them in the night
although i try with all my might
where do they go when sun goes down
to rest somewhere or into town
they bounce and float on sunny days
then disappear when days turn gray
i’ll set a trap, that’s what i’ll do
put on a glove covered with glue
but they’re more clever than i thought
a bunch of cat fur’s all i caught
Day four of the Nov PAD at Poetic Asides
