I am a reader, writer, and snapper of photos in my garden. The tiny creatures I find there are my muses.

  1. Hello Candy! Lillian here….author of the Hubble image prompt at dVerse’s Tuesday Poetics. When I clicked on your name in the MrLinky list of participants’s posts, I got an OOPS, no page etc. But looking back on your blog, found the Hubble post so copied the URL for your post, went into Mr Linky and edited it so that now, when someone clicks on it, they will come to your post. But — I could not find anywhere on your site to make comments on the poem? Perhaps these old eyes are just not seeing it? I did really enjoy your post about it….and YES! The Hourglass Nubula looks incredibly like an eye peering back at us! šŸ™‚

    1. Hi Lillian – thanks for the heads up about the link to my poem and thanks for the fix. I went back and looked at my post today. It seems I forgot to post the title, thus the issues. Yoi! Iā€™ve updated.

  2. Hi, Sarah here from fmmewritespoems.wordpress.com.

I live in a small town in Devon, UK. Over the last few years the town has raised money to renovate our town hall and make it into a community asset. A friend of mine, Anne Tattersall, is now managing it and continuing fundraising. Anne is organising a ā€œFestival of Womenā€™s Voicesā€ as a fundraiser for next International Womenā€™s Day. Somehow Iā€™ve volunteered to help, by looking for donations of poems from my women poet contacts around the world. Ideally, Anne would like to be able to link to women reading their work, but Iā€™m not sure about the logistics of that. Failing that, weā€™d like to do a display, and maybe use some words on tea-towels. If you feel you could donate a poem that would be wonderful.

      1. Thank you so much! I’m just gathering names at the moment to see if the idea is a goer. We are looking at March 2020, so lots of time. I will be back in touch when I know more šŸ¤—
