d’Verse Poets – Quadrille #64 – Quick!Write something!
Dee is tending bar today and looking for some quickness from us

A Tiny Ember
it didn’t happen quickly –
Rather
a slow magical process
a bit by bit transformation
no spark that burst to flame –
Rather
a tiny ember that glowed within
warmed my soul
my heart
fed my muse
until I turned from poet
into poem
Oh, YES. Be the poem, Candy. That’s it, exactly. Love this! De

Nice ending where feeding the muse turns us from poets to poem.

The ember that sparked the transformation – I love that last 2 lines.

From “poet into poem” … a much to be desired happenstance! Well said.

Love this – becoming the poem!

a nice reverse use of quick to emphasis how a process can develop with real intention, loved the reversal here

I love this Candy, watching your poem ignite by ‘a slow magical process’. Tiny embers last longer than bursting flames. 🙂
