A Gathering Most Fowl

A Gathering Most Fowl

It was a mob scene
A larger-than-large gathering
This gaggle of geese
Waiting, impatiently,
For the corn in our pockets
Honking, pushing, and when
We had no more to give
They swam gracefully to the
Other side of the lake
Without a backward glance

  1. oh yes….have been in this scene at the Boston’s Public Gardens. That gaggle of geese that is quite ferociously your friend…until the corn is gone. Fickle gaggles are they! 🙂

    1. my granddaughter loves to feed the ducks and geese at a local park. Me, not so much. I’d rather just watch them do their thing without human intervention 😉

There are friends who will desert us when we are faced with bad times. It is plain economics!
