Poem One for Me–dVerse Quadrille
Victoria has us poeming at the Pub today
–
Oh, How It Grows
It was just a word
Or two
The beginning of a rhyme
Or not
No telling what it might become
With time
And a little TLC, a tonic, a potion
A shot of moon dust
Oh, how it grows
This little poemlette of mine
A wonderful write Candy, I love ‘a shot of moon dust’ in poems! ☺💖

Poemlette–perfect. I was hoping to cull a few new word-ideas today. Laura’s right–it is like a seedling.

You have described perfectly how inspiration works… This reminds me of the story of Kenny Rogers and Lionel Ritchie coming up with the hit song “Lady”.
Lionel had only one line in his head when he pitched it to Kenny and look what it grew into! Wonderful !

Oh my goodness….”poemlette”? That’s adorable.
I agree….it takes nurturing and a little bit of moon dust to grow a poem.

Love it. I like the way you address the process of writing – and that all important moon dust, that gives the poemlette its sap.
