D’Verse Poets Pub -Quadrille #48 – bounce
~
A Woman of a Certain Age
There is no bounce
No flounce
Left in her step
No chance of dancing
Late into the night
The dazzle in her razzle
Is becoming tarnished
But the twinkle in her eyes
Still outshines the stars
And the bubbles in her
Laugh infect us all
It’s good that the twinkle in the eye remains and the laughter.

A sad reality, Candy, but no one can take our twinkles and bubbles!

Bubbles in her laugh.. ah yes.. i guess that comes with age.. but graceful nevertheless 😊

What a fantastic message. And I love the double duty done by “certain” in the title. That’s the beauty of aging, I think. You’re more sure of yourself. Don’t put up with so much BS.

We can lose our bounce but maintain the bubbles. Love this look at aging.

I think there are men of a certain age who try to fool themselves that they can bounce, and they end up bruised… you women are wiser

I can relate to this! But at 66 I still have my bounce and bubbles. 😊
