A Woman of a Certain Age

D’Verse Poets Pub -Quadrille #48 – bounce

A Woman of a Certain Age

There is no bounce
No flounce
Left in her step
No chance of dancing
Late into the night
The dazzle in her razzle
Is becoming tarnished
But the twinkle in her eyes
Still outshines the stars
And the bubbles in her
Laugh infect us all

  1. What a fantastic message. And I love the double duty done by “certain” in the title. That’s the beauty of aging, I think. You’re more sure of yourself. Don’t put up with so much BS.
