Smoothed Out
I’ve been mayonnaised
the bits and pieces of me
swirled and blended
homogenized
until I’m smoothed out
spread flat, sandwiched
between words that comfort
and words that cut
rhymeswithbug

Mayonnaised……..so fun! Sandwiched together….and then to these words
“between words that comfort
and words that cut”
which brings it to an entire other level — one of serious tenor — and reveal a person in trouble, a person hurting.
