It’s time again for a Quadrille over at the Pub . The theme is ‘leaves’
The Magician
chewing on leaves
until show time –
hanging upside down,curling
your body into a J, wrapping
yourself in a gold studded shell
no cheap parlor trick – this
is the real thing –
you emerge
wearing a black and orange
cloak and
fly away
FANTASTIC. I absolutely adore this, Candy.

Wonderful interpretation of the prompt, Candy. That metamorphosis we will all go through, like the seasons.

oh I LOVE this! So GLAD you posted — the magician chomping, munching on greens….and then “no cheap parlor trick”…love it! And it’s true, isn’t it? That magical thing that happens inside the chrysalis — and, voila! A beautiful escapes at the wave of the wind 🙂 Butterflies are indeed magical!

Those little magicians migrate through our area and we have “raised” a few with milkweed leaves. No cheap parlor trick, a real miracle!
