abandoned temple
crumbled stones along the path
only weeds remain
Beautiful. An emotional read. I am fascinated by the iidea that the crumbled stones along the path are made up of what was once a temple. This honestly makes the haiku one of the best I have read: classical, with tinges of Basho’s ‘Warrior’ which will find and send to you or ‘Cherry Temple’.candy, really, you produced a marvel.

What a beautiful image! So sad to see an abandoned temple, and I love the way you ended the haiku with weeds.

Very nicely written Candy … crumbled stones of an abandoned temple to create a strong path. Very nice.
