Fireblossom Friday – “Perchance to Dream”
it’s all about those night time dreams in the Garden
Web of Dreams
held to this earthly life
by filaments of spidered
dreams I spin through
layers of night each
a web of its own
chasing lions through burning buildings
trying to find a lost locker combination
wearing only my slip –
until the rising
sun breaks the spell
that kept me captive to the dark
Oh, this time there was a comment form. Couldn’t find it before. I love how real your poem is, with jumbled images, just the way dreams tend to be. Well Done!

thanks so much! I’ve sometimes not been able to find the comment section on others’ blogs – some cyber glitch I suppose *shrug*

Dreams often seem disconnected images, but somewhere in the soup there is meaning. Love how you wrote it, dream state.

Those lost combinations… I can relate to that dream too.

I hate to become tangled up in anxiety dreams! Such a relief to wake up.

Love your dream, I’ve had it also as a recurring dream. But it’s been several years since I had this one and a similar one. Don’t know why they stopped.
I like the Dodoitsu, I will read up on it. I have a similar themed poem, “Flirting”.

Love both the mundane and the magical in this — indeed, a web of dreams that feels like a spell — sometimes, though, I’m hesitant for that sun to break it & return to earth. Thanks for sharing!
