Flash 55 Plus – Songs that make you cry
(Tears In Heaven by Eric Clapton)
~~
I will save you a seat –
if I get there first
I’ll drape my sweater,
the blue one that
matches your eyes,
over the back of the
chair next to mine
I will put my bag on
the seat so no one
will take your place,
and wave so you
can find my soul
I love this thought.. What a wonderful sentiment to save a place in heaven. The detail with the blue sweater is perfect.

Okay…well you got me…one of my favorite tear-puling songs and your poem brought the sentiment to even more of a emotive place. So special.

*Smiling through tears*. A sweetly unusual take on the separation by death. I love it.

This kind of dedication speaks of true love. And that final line sings of pure yumminess!

What an amazing use of 55 words to tell someone you’ll be together in heaven.
