A flower was offered to me
but I wanted a garden
A tree was offered to me
but I wanted the forest
A raindrop was offered to me
but I wanted the storm
A moonbeam was offered to me
but I wanted the night
A grain of sand was offered to me
but I wanted the beach
Your love was offered to me
but I wanted your soul

Wonderful poem. Wanting more can be so destructive. It only leads to unhappiness..One of your best….Loved it !

There is no end to wishes and wants. We seldom realize that we have to be happy with what we get or have. An ocean is contained in a droplet as the saying goes. Very precisely written poem.
